# Receive your perks

> See what the organisation offers its volunteers, follow your progress and pick up your perks by swiping on your phone.

Some organisations thank their volunteers with **perks**: a t-shirt, a meal, a drink. Benevolus shows you what you can receive, and you pick them up with your phone.

## Before you sign up

Open the event. In the **Schedule** tab, **What you get** lists the perks offered to all volunteers, with the condition of each one, for example "4 h for Festival t-shirt". Those reserved for a post show under **What you get at this post**, when you open one of its time slots.

## Follow your progress

Once signed up, open the event's **My space** tab. **My perks** shows:

* the next perk to reach, and how much time you still need;
* a bar: solid for your worked hours, light for the hours of your upcoming time slots. Each milestone is a perk, ticked once you reach it;
* your coupons: one per perk, and one per day for those given every day worked.

If your time slots are not enough for a perk, Benevolus tells you, with a **See the schedule** link to take more. When a perk unlocks during the event, you get a notification, or an email (see [Install the app and get notifications](https://docs.benevolus.ch/en/install-the-app.md)).

## Pick up a perk

**1. Go to the pickup location**

Each coupon shows where to pick up the perk, and until when.

**2. Open your coupon**

Tap the coupon (**Tap to open**). Only an available coupon opens.

**3. Swipe in front of the person at the stand**

When you are handed the item, drag the **Swipe to confirm** bar all the way to the end. The screen turns green: show it to the person handing it over.

> Only swipe when you are handed the item: once swiped, the coupon counts as received.

A perk given every day worked is picked up on the day itself. The others can be picked up until the date shown on the coupon. After that, the coupon shows **Not picked up**.

> No smartphone? A Coordinator or a Responsible can record the hand-over for you.
