Benevolus is free to start with. You only pay when your events grow, and always for the tool: the volunteer never pays. Three modes are available, depending on your volume.
An assignment is one filled volunteer spot. Three volunteers on the same time slot count as 3 assignments. All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) and net: Benevolus is not subject to VAT, so the amounts shown are the final prices.

The three modes at a glance

Pay-as-you-go

You pay event by event. The first 25 assignments of each event are free. Ideal for a few events a year.

Annual bundle

A yearly pool of assignments at a reduced rate, usable across all your events. Ideal from 3 events a year.

Unlimited

999 CHF per year, everything unlimited and all modules included. Ideal for high volumes and festivals.

Compare the three modes

Pay-as-you-go

Without a subscription, your organisation is automatically on pay-as-you-go. Each published event is billed by its number of assignments, and the first 25 assignments of each event are free. The price follows a degressive curve: the larger the event, the less each spot costs. In-between sizes are calculated between these benchmarks. Beyond 500 assignments, the price keeps rising, capped at 999 CHF per event. Amounts are rounded to the nearest 5 centimes.
An event stays free as long as it does not exceed 25 assignments. You only pay when you publish the event, and only if it is billable.

Annual bundle

The bundle gives you a pool of assignments valid for one year, to spread across as many events as you like. Three tiers: Any unused pool is carried over to the next year on renewal. If you use up your pool, each extra assignment is billed at the reduced rate shown.
Example: with the Bundle 200 (349 CHF/year), a festival of 250 assignments draws 200 spots from the pool; the remaining 50 are billed at 2 CHF, i.e. 100 CHF.

Unlimited

999 CHF per year. Unlimited events, posts and assignments, no billing on publish, and all add-on modules included. This is the mode for high-volume organisations and recurring festivals.

Add-on modules

Some advanced features are modules unlocked once for your whole organisation (one-time purchase, valid for life). They are included in the Unlimited mode.

How payment works

Benevolus issues an invoice when you publish a billable event, or when you subscribe to a bundle. Payment is by bank transfer, via a Swiss QR-bill, due within 30 days. There is no credit card and no automatic debit. See Invoices and payment for details.

Choosing or changing your mode

From your organisation, open the Licences tab: it shows your current plan and your modules, and the Change plan button lets you subscribe to a bundle or switch to Unlimited at any time.

When you upgrade mid-year, a pro-rata credit for your current subscription is deducted. If you cancel, your access stays active until the term you have already paid for ends.
